1.4 is adding new mechanics to villagers, such as liking and disliking you. I really similar this and recollect it would be nice to have more things to make them like you, every bit well as some rewards for being nice to them.

Hmm. I didn't really think virtually that. I kind of think that the current punishments are pretty good. For example, the iron golem attacks on sight if the villagers hate yous enough.

In my opinion, maybe the villagers could chase you lot out of the villages themselves, their hits could exercise one-half a heart of damage, not enough to kill, but plenty to get rid of you if they team upward.

I similar the concept but there are some balancing issues I'd work out. Some work too ratios rewards merely don't quite sit right.
My main concern is the frequency of gifts though. I'd say keep it at 15 minutes merely change information technology and then there is only one/4 take chances they volition come up at all. If they do merely 1-ii.
Besides that y'all seem to be thinking of a new system to the reputation. I was under the impression each villager had their ain opinion of you in the electric current game.

I volition update with some changes to gifts, to balance. The reputation system currently works by village, not individual villager. For example, one whole hamlet could detest you, but another can love you. Private villagers in these villagers will not accept their own opinions, merely a sort of collective opinion among the village.

Agreed, you lot should just gain rep for replanting. Harvesting shouldn't price any unless it remains unplanted for like 5 minutes or something.

Perchance not even take a cooldown: make information technology then that when a farmland block is in a hamlet and has a total-grown wheat found above it set a subconscious value that sets 'reputation' to true, and when that block gets wheat planted on information technology reward the rep and set 'reputation' of the farmland to false.
And when I said "price points" I meant deduct reputation for leaving farmland un-planted for five minutes if there was a crop already above information technology before. I didn't even encounter the system was exploitable, my poor explanation only led yous to realize it on blow

I Similar The Suggestions.
Here are some other ideas:
ane. Building them Houses
- if you build them houses, and then that they tin can brood and aggrandize. your reputation will increase by v.
2. Defending Them
- if the village or a villager is being invaded by zombies and you fight for them. your reputation will increase past six and the villagers volition give y'all a "Gift" every bit a form of thanks if you lot succeed in defending them. if at that place are priests the priests will give you lot a random positive outcome. (Similar Regeneration I for similar 5 seconds?)*
*Side Note Defending Them would only count if a zombie attacks a villager or a house with villagers in them. not randomly killing mobs around the village

Awesome idea! However, what shows y'all if you have bad reputation or good? (Possibly add a meter system when y'all enter the village) Also, what happens if you are bad? (Iron golems kick y'all from village/ villagers throw bricks at yous)
